Tasteful Tuesdays

Guess what kids, we are near the end of May! Therefore, I am just plain TIRED of people refusing to give up on their winter wardrobe because it is cold in their office and/or winter clothes better hide that cold weather pudge that they still have not worked off in the name of their bikini. It has hit 80 more than once and it is high time to put away last season’s clothes. Oxblood, decaying rose, end of the world blues and lost in the forest at dusk greens look ridic in spring. To make matters decidedly better, for the first time in a long while the fashion industry is throwing us a bone. We are not channeling military chic circa 2006! This season is not at all about khakis, muted pastels and fatigues, a depressing side note to summer. Instead we get the chance to revel in this season’s kaleidoscope of party girl prints (like these Peter Pilotto must haves featured above) and easter eggs on acid hues. So quit it with the freaking Emily Dickenson attitude, put on a freaking smile cause it is sunny and be tasteful this Tuesday by wearing season appropriate colors.

Finally Friday

It’s finally Friday and we are excited about a weekend filled with sunshine and flowers and watching people try to act like they are totally comfortable in those short shorts. That’s right, spring/summer is finally here and hopefully to stay. That means it’s time to mow the lawn if you know what we mean and locate your strapless bra for your new black and white striped maxi, girl! This weekend we plan to embrace it all. You will probably find us grilling some salmon and kale (of freaking course) and other healthy dishes this weekend. We will also be taking our little Lex Lex on a walk too, hopefully he will behave himself…. And if it gets too warm for our taste/pale you can see our heart beating skin, you might even find us sitting poolside in colorful kaftans and Panama hats. So let’s fire up that grill pour ourselves some sangria and enjoy this summer weather Bs.

Tasteful Tuesdays

While the universal sign of being attached is a ring on that finger, it is equally true that all that glitters is not gold. The first thing we always do when checking a guy out is to first glance down at that left ring finger. If there is something shiny looking back at us, then we move RIGHT on and don’t continue the hunt on that particular specimen. However, our male counterparts are not afforded such swift feedback because we ladies love to accessorize with all types of jewelry and many a times we sport a ring on our ring fingers even when we are decidedly not taken. Ladies, if you do this you are a mixed up single sending the proverbial mixed signal. Guys aren’t that in tune to our emotions or to our fashion choices and they assume if he liked it he put a ring on it even if it’s not on the left hand. So ladies, be tasteful this Tuesday and leave your fashionable rings at home if you want that cutie in line at Starbucks or the guy at the table over at happy hour to hit on you. If you are not interested in meeting someone, then by all means pop a show stopper on that left hand and look like you eat breakfast at Tiffany’s or on the real Harry Winston. But, if you really are on the pull, help yourself by helping him out and leave that ring at home in its adorable little shabby chic ring bowl that you picked up from Anthro years ago!

Finally Friday

It’s finally Friday and we are looking forward to celebrating our mother this weekend. That’s right we are going to honor the woman who passed down her exquisite sense of style to us. That means we will give in to her every whim all weekend long. If she wants to take us shopping, we will agree to go. If she wants to take us out to lunch, we will gladly be ladies that lunch. If she wants to grab cocktails before dinner, we will order vodka sodas with her. If she wants breakfast in bed, we will serve up a gluten free feast. Basically, this is going to be a freaky Friday switch up this weekend. Our mother will be calling all the shots. Happy Mother’s Day ladies, we really don’t know what we would do with out the love and support of our Momager.
